For over 40 years Ace has been acknowledged as
the world leader in motion control.
It was back in the 1960's that the then unique Ace shock absorber was initially designed to serve the Detroit automotive industry. Since then, their world-renowned shock absorbers have grown to some 170 different models. In addition, the Ace motion control range has developed to include safety shock absorbers, rotary dampers, hydraulic dampers, feed controls, industrial gas springs and TUBUS dampers. New products include slab for damping and locked for clamping rail systems.

Safety Shock Absorbers

For these products, the name describes them perfectly. They ensure the safety in emergency stop applications.
Safety shock absorbers are maintenance free, self-contained units, the majority of which are equipped with an integrated mechanical stop. They have either an integrated membrane accumulator for volume compensation or you can select to use a compressed gas chamber on some models.

TUBUS Elastomer Profile Buffers

TUBUS - Profile Dampers from ACE are High Performance Damper elements made from a special Co-Polyester Elastomer.
They have a high energy absorbing capacity compared with other materials. The TUBUS series comprises five main types with over 70 individual models. The excellent damping characteristics are achieved as a result of the special elastomer material and the worldwide patented construction design. This enables us to change the characteristic of the Elastomer material so that individual and distinct damping curves are possible.

ACE has new advanced PUR damping materials for shock absorption and vibration damping which offer innovative solutions to a multitude of customer applications. ACE-SLAB offers the ideal solution for large surface area damping or vibration isolation requirements, in the form of sheets, or to customer specific molded shapes. You can simply mount the ACE-SLAB material sheet by bonding it to the individual parent surface

ACE Slab

Features:
  • PUR material made to a patented formula and which is especially designed to absorb shock loads.
  • Also, the resulting structure-borne noise is effectively reduced.
  • The standard densities of 450 kg/m³, 600 kg/m³ and 720 kg/m³ serve as vibration insulation in a wide variety of applications.
  • For specific applications, special designs with specific densities can be manufactured. The static and dynamic product characteristics are precisely defined.
  • Maximum ACE-SLAB sheet sizes of 1.5 m wide and 5 m long, and other geometric shapes can be manufactured with three-dimensional forms.
  • PUR damping ACE-SLAB sheet can easily be bonded to other materials, self-adhesive backing films or wearing surfaces.
  • Mounting in even the most difficult of applications as well as using it in the food industry or for noise reduction.
  • Resistant against ozone and UV radiation; food-graded according to ENV 1186-3
  • Fire rating: B2, normally flammable according to DIN 4102

All elements of the ACE LOCKED emergency stop systems are independent of the power supply and not dependent on the machinery that they protect thus act as an independent brake system for the respective drive. The clamping elements react in the shortest possible response time by the patented pneumatic pre-loading system of the spring plates in the diaphragm. These safety systems are permanently operational, affording maximum machine protection.

The installation of ACE LOCKED safety equipment decreases the resultant forces when problems such as, power failure, programming error, erroneous switching or other problems occur when in the initial set-up routine.


ACE Locked

Features:
  • The ACE LOCKED clamping system offers failsafe braking, because the loss of pneumatic power immediately applies the clamping elements.
  • Fitted directly on the guided rail or rod. They are suitable for the majority of all rail or rod sizes and manufacturers.
  • LOCKED-Series R offers high forces for holding or clamping of rotational movements directly on a shaft.
  • Provide high braking and clamping forces in a compact design.
  • Modular design, with several units, that can be added on top of one another, so it is possible to design the required braking and clamping force for each individual application.
  • The large surface area of the brake ensures a long working life. Both clamping and braking are possible within the same "L Active" model. Simple design, low number of components, and pneumatic connection technology result in competitive costs.
  • Can be mounted in any orientation.
  • Customised special sizes for the woodworking and automation industries are available on request.
