Return line suction filters from HYDAC are used in systems in which open circuits (working hydraulics) are operated with closed circuits (power unit). A part of the most finely filtered total return line quantity is fed back with overpressure to the feed pump which represents an effective protection against cavitation damage, particularly in connection with cold starts. The return line suction filter combines the functions and advantages of a hydraulic filter for the return line and those of a hydraulic filter for suction operation in a single oil filter.
